Contact Jan Kary, CFRE at jkary@verizon.net (202.438-6750) for questions about the CFRE process and for updates on the next chapter-sponsored review course. AFP First Coast hosts 2-3 CFRE trainings per year based on interest, contact Jan if you would like to participate in a class.

If you already have earned your CFRE, it’s important to track points for continuing education, classes taught, articles written, and community service including Board of Directors involvement, so you will be able to re-certify with correct documentation.  Re-certification is required every three years from initial certification date.  The CFRE website has a section to conveniently track points called “My CFRE”.

What is the process for certification?

1. Application – All candidates must complete a written application which requires information in four areas: Professional Practice; Education; Performance (dollars raised); and Service.
