AFP Florida First Coast Chapter Board Resolution on Diversity
WHEREAS the mission of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is to enable people and organizations throughout the world to practice effective and ethical fundraising through education, training, mentoring, research, credentialing and advocacy; and,
WHEREAS AFP Florida First Coast Chapter is committed to an inclusive culture and to educating and encouraging its members to better serve their respective communities; and,
WHEREAS AFP Florida First Coast Chapter defines diversity as the seeking and achieving of a broad representation of qualities, including, but not limited to: ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, physical ability, age, experience and opinion; and,
WHEREAS AFP Florida First Coast Chapter values acceptance and respect of differences as an essential source of vitality and strength for the successful pursuit of an organization’s mission;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT AFP is committed to diversity as a thoughtful, ongoing process in its governance, membership, committees, programs and activities.
