IDEA Scholarship

File

This year, AFP NWPA Chapter is offering a new Scholarship for potential members.

We recognize that Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access (IDEA) are central to our mission, and expect all organizational interactions to reflect IDEA Principles, including a demonstrated appreciation for different voices, active listening; open to disparate viewpoints and opinions, and facilitating dialogues among the diverse groups.

To qualify for this offer, individuals must represent one or more IDEA constituencies and be a new member of AFP. AFP defines diversity as a core value. It is an inclusive concept encompassing, without limitation, race, color, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation or identity; religion, nationality, age, economic class, educational level, language, physical, mobility and ability, geography, and marital and parental status. AFP’s diverse communities include: African-American/Black, Asian, People with Disabilities, Faith-based, LGBTQ, Hispanic, Jewish, Rural, or another underrepresented community.

The scholarship recipient will be asked to join our IDEA committee and help us continue to grow our IDEA outreach efforts.

If you are a nonprofit leader with fundraising responsibilities or a full-time fundraiser, who also meets the scholarship criteria, please fill out the following application and submit it by October 27, 2023 to Dawn Johnson, Chapter Admin, at admin@afpnwpa.org.
