Celebrating Philanthropy: Honoring Extraordinary Contributions on National Philanthropy Day

ERIE, PA — The Northwestern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP NWPA) is honored to announce this year’s National Philanthropy Day honorees.


On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Gannon University’s Yehl Ballroom, we will celebrate individuals and organizations that have made an exceptional impact on our community through philanthropy, volunteerism, and leadership.

National Philanthropy Day is a time to recognize the transformative power of philanthropy and the profound effect it has on communities across Northwestern Pennsylvania. This year, we are proud to acknowledge the following 2025 honorees for their unwavering commitment to giving and community betterment:

2025 National Philanthropy Day Honorees

  • Outstanding Philanthropic Organization

The Woman’s Club of Erie
Nominated by EmergyCare
For more than 125 years, the Woman’s Club of Erie has been a pillar of civic responsibility and charitable service. Through volunteerism, fundraising, and advocacy, the club has supported organizations such as Shriners Hospitals for Children, Second Harvest Food Bank, Erie DAWN, and the Inner-City Neighborhood Art House. Their enduring mission to empower women and strengthen the Erie community continues to make a lasting difference.


  • Outstanding Young Philanthropist

Aaron Kehl
Nominated by Mercy Center for Women
At just 13 years old, Aaron has raised more than $7,000 for local nonprofits through his annual lemonade stand. His efforts have supported over a dozen Erie-area organizations, including Second Harvest Food Bank, the Erie Zoo, and the Autism Society. Aaron’s leadership, generosity, and vision for a better community make him a remarkable example of youth philanthropy in action.


  • Judy Ann Lawrence Outstanding Fundraising Professional

Ainslie Brosig
Nominated by Courtney Baron
Ainslie Brosig has elevated the role of philanthropy through her visionary leadership at the expERIEnce Children’s Museum. Her ability to build community partnerships and lead major fundraising initiatives has expanded access to hands-on learning for children and families. Ainslie’s energy, professionalism, and commitment to ethical, donor-centered fundraising exemplify the spirit of this award.

Tickets are $40.00 per person for AFP Members and $45.00 for non-members.
