RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead planning and full-scale execution of Harborfest from concept through closeout including the Annual Opening Reception
• Support and coordinate the work of all festival volunteer committees
• Oversee all vendor, entertainment, logistics, and volunteer operations
• Collaborate with designated partner(s) on marketing strategy; digital, social, print, and media outreach
• Manage all staff; year-round including administrative, event-specific, and seasonal coordinators
• Day-to-day organizational operations year-round
• Ensure financial records, payroll, and supplier contracts are managed accurately
• Develop and manage the annual organizational and festival budget in consultation with the Board
• Oversee vendor and supplier agreements and ensure contractual obligations are met
• Ensure compliance with 501(c)(3) financial and reporting obligations
• Develop a comprehensive sponsorship strategy and cultivate, solicit, and steward sponsors and members
• Serve as the primary organizational representative to local government, business community, and civic organizations including maintaining and stewarding the relationships
SKILLS:
• Experience in festival or large-scale event production
• A proven record in executive operations, logistics management, or organizational leadership
• Experience in budget development, financial oversight, and reporting
• Experience with sponsorship development and partnership sales experience
• Marketing and brand management skills across digital and traditional channels
• Strong community engagement, public relations, and stakeholder coordination and stewardship skills
Compensation:
Salary range $55,000 - $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience. This role also includes a commission structure on sponsorship revenue personally generated by the Executive Director, covering both new business and renewals. Details will be discussed during the hiring process. Benefits may be able to be negotiated during the hiring process.
