Salary: $22 - $25 per hour

Department: Foundation 

Reports to:  Executive Director of the Foundation Nonexempt/Hourly 

In partnership with the Executive Director, the Development Associate will assist in all functions of the Foundation. Primarily managing the donor database and gift processing function. Provide exceptional customer service in interacting with Donors, board members, volunteers, staff, residents, family members and the public. Participate as an active team member in planning and implementing development goals and initiatives including annual giving and special events. Develop special projects as needed. Work with various board and committees as needed. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Manage donor data base including 

  • Maintenance of the database records for all constituents including, family members, current residents (deceased and new admissions). 

  • Process all gifts 

  • Generate reports, daily, monthly, year-end as needed 

  • Develop queries and custom reports to generate information as needed 

  • Exercise discretion and confidentiality regarding donors’ gifts 

  • Serve as a liaison with finance including batch reports, month end and financial reports 

  • Responsible for donor acknowledgements, tributes grant management 

  • Assist with all aspects of annual giving 

  • Lead the planning and execution of special events including  

  • Shining Stars Annual Celebration  

  • Golf tournament 

  • Any other events throughout the year.  

  • Marketing  

  • Oversee Constant Contact, Survey Monkey and social media for all entities at Menorah Park including The Oaks, The Inn, Rothschild Adult Day, The Foundation 

  • Assist with Foundation Newsletter 

  • Assure that all written internal and external communications going out of the Foundation are professional in tone and appearance 

  • Design and implement programs to identify, contact, and cultivate potential donors (individual – major, corporate, sponsors, planned giving, board and alumni engagement) for the organization.  

  • Develop an annual fund plan including timelines, objectives, and benchmarks to ensure funding meets or exceeds budget.   

  • Attend a variety of events for community engagement  

  • Prepare strategies for the use of marketing and public relations, including newsletters, to support development efforts.   

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and assist with submission of grants to foundations, corporations and other entities.   

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.  

Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 + years of experience in fundraising, or marketing. Proven success in securing ongoing financial support and project funding.  

  • Strong working knowledge of Donor Perfect or some other donor database and the ability to train and learn Donor Perfect   

  • Exceptional oral, written, interpersonal, analytical, organizational and computer skills.   

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and availability to work evenings and weekends for work events.
