The Director will oversee the development and implementation of donor acquisition strategies as well as ensure long-term donor engagement. The Director will also lead efforts to enhance external partnerships with wealth managers and professional advisors. The Director of Development is a key member of the leadership team at St. Vincent de Paul of Baton Rouge (“SVDP”), responsible for stewarding relationships and resources that sustain and grow our mission to serve the poor, the hungry, and the homeless in our community. General Summary
The Director of Development will lead fundraising efforts to support the mission of the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation (LAWFF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. This role will report directly to a designated member of the Executive Committee of the LAWFF Board and will be instrumental in building a sustainable and diversified funding base for the LAWFF. This is a contract position with potential to become a full-time exempt position in the 2026 calendar year.
The successful candidate should be a self-starter who can work independently and create a development division from the ground up.
