Independent Consultant to serve as Capital Campaign Counsel – Baton Rouge Gallery
Date Posted: May 19, 2026
Contact Person: Jason Andreasen, jandreasen@batonrougegallery.org
General Summary
Baton Rouge Gallery — center for contemporary art (BRG) is seeking proposals from experienced independent consultants or small consulting practices to serve as capital campaign counsel. The selected consultant will partner with BRG’s leadership team to plan and execute a multi-year capital campaign to fund the construction of a new facility. BRG has completed a campaign planning study that confirmed strong community support and identified significant philanthropic capacity for this project. The organization is now seeking a dedicated campaign counsel to guide it from pre-campaign readiness through the successful completion of the campaign. BRG is a small, community-rooted arts organization. We are looking for a consultant who is energized by that. We want someone who brings major campaign experience but thrives working closely with a lean team in a hands-on partnership.
BRG has budgeted $125,000–$175,000 for campaign counsel fees over the full engagement (exclusive of travel and expenses). We recognize this is a multi-year commitment and expect the level of effort — and corresponding fees — to vary by phase. Respondents should propose a fee structure that fits within this range and clearly describes the level of service included. We are open to monthly retainer, phased, or other structures. Please also include your travel and expense policy. (Please note the salary range listed below is for the full multi-year contract, not a yearly salary).
Proposals should be submitted electronically in PDF format to Jason Andreasen (jandreasen@batonrougegallery.org) no later than June 5, 2026. Please include “BRG Campaign Counsel Proposal” in the subject line. Questions should also be directed to Jason Andreasen (jandreasen@batonrougegallery.org) by May 20, 2026. Responses to all questions received will be shared with all invited respondents.
