The AFP Greater Baton Rouge Chapter is pleased to offer three scholarships to existing and potential members:
Conference Scholarships:
Chamberlain Scholarship:
The AFP Baton Rouge Chapter encourages 1st time AFP international conference attendees to apply for the Chamberlain Scholarship to cover registration for the 2025 ICON Conference April 27 – 29 in Seattle, WA.
The scholarship covers the recipient's conference registration fee, minus a $10 processing fee. This is a wonderful opportunity to network with fundraising peers and an outstanding learning opportunity. For more information on ICON, please visit https://afpicon.com/.
Eligibility:

- Must be a current AFP Greater Baton Rouge member
- Employed as a fundraising professional or significantly involved in fundraising
- First-time attendee of an AFP or NSFRE International Conference
- Responsible for own travel and lodging arrangements
- Willing to share conference experience with the chapter afterward (e.g., report, newsletter contribution, or presentation)
- Must join and actively participate in an AFP committee

Membership Scholarships
Ten Star Gold Scholarship:
The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Greater Baton Rouge Chapter is offering a membership scholarship for both existing and potential members. This scholarship is designed to support individuals who are committed to advancing the fundraising profession.
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following requirements:

- Be currently employed as a fundraising professional, or, if an executive director or other professional, devote a significant amount of time to fundraising activities.
- Adhere to the AFP Code of Ethics.
- Join an AFP committee and actively participate.
- Have not received a membership scholarship in the last three years.

IDEA Champion Scholarship:
The IDEA Champion Designation recognizes chapters that promote Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access and the Greater Baton Rouge Chapter has received this designation for many years. To promote IDEA, the chapter is offering a membership scholarship for both existing and potential members from diverse communities. This scholarship is designed to support individuals who are committed to advancing the fundraising profession.
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following requirements:

- Be currently employed as a fundraising professional, or, if an executive director or other professional, devote a significant amount of time to fundraising activities.
- Diverse background or experience which is underrepresented in the development field
- Adhere to the AFP Code of Ethics.
- Join an AFP committee and actively participate.
- Have not received a membership scholarship in the last three years.
