 AFP TN, Southeastern Chapter Scholarships

The AFP, Southeastern Tennessee Chapter is pleased to offer two scholarships for the 2024 program year:

Membership Scholarship (1 year of membership)
Applicants may be new, lapsed, or current members of AFP. Scholarship recipients will choose one committee on which to serve during the 2024 program year. Applicants must be affiliated with a nonprofit organization as an employee or volunteer leader. Scholarships valued at $365 each will cover AFP Global Dues and Local AFP TN Chattanooga Chapter Dues for the year. Scholarships may be renewable for a second year.

Chamberlain Scholarship (AFP International Conference)
The 2024 AFP International Conference on Philanthropy is slated to be held April 7-9 in Toronto and this scholarship is for a fundraiser who has not attended an AFP International Conference in the past.

The scholarship covers registration fees and an additional $500 stipend from the local Chapter. The scholarship recipient will be asked to provide a report at one of the monthly meetings following attendance at the conference and complete an online evaluation form about his or her experience at International Conference.

Remember: Canadian law requires that all persons entering Canada carry proof of citizenship and identity. A valid U.S. passport, passport card, or NEXUS card satisfies these requirements for U.S. citizens. The current routine processing time for U.S. passport renewal is 10-13 weeks.

The Chapter's board leadership will make the scholarship decisions for the 2024 program year. The deadline for applications is December 8. Decisions will be announced by the end of December 2023.
