It is my honour to serve as President of the South Eastern Ontario Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFPSEO) for 2022-2023.
It has been a whole new landscape for fundraising professionals over the course of the pandemic. For AFPSEO, our educational offerings moved online, we were unable to get together to celebrate the amazing donors, volunteers and fundraisers that support numerous charities in our region with our annual National Philanthropy Day awards celebration, and our annual conference was put on hold. I am proud to say we continued to serve our members with relevant, timely and inspiring professional development sessions, and we used our online presence to celebrate philanthropy as a whole in our region on National Philanthropy Day (November 15) over the last two years.
We are excited to be back to some in-person events with the return of our conference, in conjunction with our National Philanthropy Day awards celebration, at St. Lawrence College on November 15, and hope you can join us. We will continue to offer hybrid options for educational sessions including the conference, wherever possible, so we can remain accessible to our members, both within and outside the area.
It is our pleasure to serve your fundraising needs through education, networking, access to recent research, and a host of other membership benefits. We are here to help you provide the best service to all the amazing charities you serve in our region. Feel free to reach out to our membership chair or any other Board member if you have questions and would like to consider joining our dynamic chapter.
We look forward to working with all of you in service to your clients. And if you are new to the area, feel free to reach out and introduce yourself. It would be our pleasure to welcome you to the region and the Chapter, as a guest or a member.
All the best,
