Melanie Barrett - President


Melanie is the Director of Development at Albert College, an independent boarding and day school in Belleville teaching students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12. Melanie has been working in the Advancement Office at Albert College for over 15 years. She is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and runs a dynamic team. Melanie and her team manage fundraising, alumni relations and special events for the school. Melanie is a graduate of Loyalist College and the University of Ottawa and was introduced to fundraising while studying Public Relations. Melanie has been a Board Member with AFP SEO since 2012.

Marie Miller – Past President & Every Member Campaign



Marie has been fundraising in Kingston for more than 20 years (12 at Queen’s University and 8 at St. Lawrence College). Her fundraising career began as the Development Officer for (then) Queen’s Principal, Dr. William C. Leggett and VP (Advancement), George Hood.  She was the Major Gift Officer for the $20+ million Queen’s mini campaign that raised funds to develop new outdoor playing fields and refurbish Richardson Stadium.  Marie served one year as a Stewardship Officer, and her final two years as a Gift Planning Officer, both at Queen's.

Shortly after Marie began her career as the Senior Development Officer at St. Lawrence College (SLC), the Uncommon Campaign was launched, which raised more money than ever in the history of the College in support of students. She continues to have great success in securing significant gifts, even from first-time donors.

Marie is known for her ability to build mutually rewarding relationships and her natural stewardship skills. She is a Charter member of the AFP of South Eastern Ontario Chapter, served as the Program Chair and Co-Chair of one of the first National Philanthropy Day events. Her most recent roles with AFPSEO are Secretary and President.  She is also a member of the Rotary Club of Kingston, serving as a member of the Community Grants Committee and Fellowship Committee.

Hannah Bonin - Marketing, Communications & Outreach and President-Elect

Hannah Bonin is a healthcare and community services professional with experience supporting nonprofit and municipally operated healthcare organizations. She has held progressively responsible roles focused on individuals with disabilities, older adults, and other vulnerable populations, playing a leading role in initiatives spanning operational planning, policy development, and quality improvement. She has worked closely with executive leadership and boards, supporting governance, risk management, budget oversight, and regulatory compliance. More recently, Hannah has expanded her portfolio to include fundraising and donor engagement, advancing initiatives that strengthen organizational sustainability and deepen community impact. A collaborative and thoughtful leader, she values inclusive leadership, relationship-building, and continuous improvement. Motivated by a personal and professional purpose—to make impactful change today for a better tomorrow—Hannah is eager to contribute her experience and values to her community.

Tiffany Sanford - Membership 

Tiffany Sanford is a community-driven fundraising and engagement professional with over 10 years of experience in the medical field and operations leadership. Born in Edmonton and now calling Kingston home, she previously worked with the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation and continues to stay connected through her involvement with the YGK Healthcare Champions. Tiffany loves networking and is always eager to strike up meaningful conversations—whether it’s at an event, a community gathering, or a casual meet-up—because she genuinely believes connections are the foundation of strong communities.

Recently recognized as an Air Canada Future Leader and graduating from St. Lawrence College in May 2025, Tiffany brings a people-first, relationship-based approach to engagement. She enjoys building partnerships, growing membership, and creating welcoming spaces where everyone feels included and inspired to participate. Tiffany is excited to bring fresh ideas, energy, and collaboration to the AFPSEO chapter, helping it grow and thrive through meaningful member experiences.

Sandi Ramsay - Government Relations

Sandi is a seasoned executive within the non-profit sector, driven by a profound dedication to community service and advancement. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the Centre for Workforce Development in Hastings, Prince Edward, and Lennox & Addington, Sandi previously excelled as the Donor Relations and Communications Manager at Hospice Quinte. In this capacity, she spearheaded the Heart & Home Building capital campaign, orchestrating a collaborative effort with government bodies, volunteers, local businesses, community partners, and staff to raise over $9.2 million.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Sandi is deeply engaged in community service, actively participating in the Rotary Club of Trenton and Rotary District 7070. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Belleville and District Chamber of Commerce and Victim Services - Hastings, Prince Edward, Lennox & Addington. 

Sandi's academic accomplishments include graduating with distinction from Brock University's Bachelor of Adult Education program and Loyalist College in both the Broadcast Journalism and the Advertising, Media Marketing and Sales Post-Graduate programs.

Jeff Doner - Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA)

Jeff Doner is a senior marketing and communications leader with 20 years of experience across healthcare, nonprofit, social enterprise, and highly regulated industries. He currently serves as Director of Marketing & Communications at Kingston Hospitals Foundation, where he leads integrated brand strategy, marketing, and community engagement in close partnership with hospital leadership and regional stakeholders.

Jeff has led large-scale brand and digital transformation initiatives, built integrated marketing and communications practices, and guided cross-functional teams through complex change. His work focuses on aligning organizational strategy with purpose, strengthening stakeholder trust, and translating vision into measurable outcomes that support fundraising, engagement, and long-term sustainability.

A committed advocate for inclusion, diversity, equity, and access, Jeff brings a practical, action-oriented approach to embedding IDEA principles into governance, strategy, and organizational culture. He has held previous board roles and is deeply invested in ethical leadership, collaborative decision-making, and building organizations that genuinely reflect and serve their communities.

Jeff holds a Bachelor’s degree and has served as a part-time professor in higher education. He is passionate about mentorship, professional development, and strengthening the philanthropic sector through thoughtful governance, strategic clarity, and inclusive leadership.

Heather-Ann Thompson - Chapter Administrator

As a community fundraising volunteer for many years and as an Administrative Assistant for most of my professional career the Chapter Administrator position is inline with my professional and volunteer interests.  

Joining AFPSEO has open my eyes to the various fundraising opportunities across South Eastern Ontario that I did not know existed!  Being a part of AFPSEO allows us to have the ability to hear and learn about other organizations, individuals and their stories!  How they keep preserving to continue to raise funds for the important work they do and how it benefits our communities!

Corrinna Reynolds is a Registered Nurse and Director of Care in long-term care, bringing progressive leadership experience and a strong commitment to continuous learning. Throughout her career, she has advanced through escalating roles, building her knowledge in clinical operations, team leadership, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement. Corrinna is passionate about education and mentorship, dedicated to fostering professional growth, supporting knowledge sharing initiatives and strengthening learning opportunities.

Reginald Nii-Aponsah - Education Co-Chair

Reginald is an experienced educator, project lead, and facilitator who has taught at St. Lawrence College and Loyalist College and has led workshops and learning initiatives with Queen’s University, Brockville General Hospital, and CanNor. He brings a practical, learner-centered approach to education, with experience designing and delivering programs that support professional development, organizational change, and stakeholder engagement.
