Nothing in fundraising causes more fear, but why? The smallest part in fundraising receives the greatest amount of attention, "the ask". The ask is only an invitation, a way to help donors realize their own hopes and aspirations. Solicitation is only a small portion of the donor development cycle; proper cultivation can ease any tense feelings about the ask. Though each solicitation is different, understanding the form will make any staff and volunteer comfortable and successful.
As a result of this workshop, participants will...
- Understand the donor development cycle
- Learn components of a successful solicitation
- Become more comfortable with making the ask.
