2022 Volunteer in Philanthropy (VIP)

Congratulations to our 2022 Volunteer in Philanthropy (VIP) Honorees: Vicky Cayetano and Michelle Stofle
Vicky Cayetano
Honored by the Hawai'i Symphony Orchestra

Vicky Cayetano has been a champion and an advocate for the Hawai'i Symphony Orchestra since our founding. Our Symphony truly would not be here without her. Her passion for arts access has inspired others to make symphonic music a priority for our community. Whether it's filling seats at a concert or making connections that expand our reach, we can always count on Vicky to keep the music sounding.

Michelle Stofle
Honored by the Aloha United Way

Michelle Stofle has developed a passion to empower young women to believe they can achieve and is a firm believer of “to whom much is given, much is required”. In her volunteer role, she currently serves on the board of directors for SMEH, Hō’ola Nā Pua and Aloha United Way - Women United. She devotes some of her free time, talent and resources to New Hope Christian Fellowship, the Salvation Army and the YWCA.  Michelle loves to learn and grow, read, practice Tai Chi, speak Cantonese and French, retail therapy, travel and laugh with her husband, Mark.

A key to a successful nonprofit is the strength of its volunteers. These selfless individuals offer their time, talent and passion to every aspect of an organization’s operations – from working with clients, to organizing fundraising events, to providing guidance and vision as a board member.

Each year, nonprofit organizations are invited to use this day to honor a special volunteer and recognize their distinguished service. We call these dedicated individuals our Volunteers in Philanthropy or VIPs.

Honor one of your distinguished volunteers at our 2022 National Philanthropy Day® Awards Luncheon on Friday, November 4, 2022, 12:00-1:30pm at the Sheraton Waikiki Ballroom.

When your organization purchases a table of ten at the awards luncheon, you have the incredible opportunity of recognizing your very own Volunteer in Philanthropy (VIP)!

Your VIP will be personally recognized during the luncheon, up on the large screen while our emcee describes each one’s selfless dedication and service to your company, organization, or nonprofit. In addition, each VIP will be presented with a lei at check-in.  This is the perfect way to say thank you to your VIP while cultivating other volunteers, board members, and donors.  (VIP table of 10: $2,000).

To ensure that your special Volunteer in Philanthropy receives their proper recognition, please submit in 70 words or less, the reasons your VIP was chosen and include a color photo.  Please send to:
