Chapter Scholarships

AFP Foundation Chamberlain Scholarship

The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy annually awards one Chamberlain Scholarship to each AFP chapter for an individual to attend the prestigious AFP International Conference. The scholarship is named for Ralph Chamberlain, who was instrumental in starting the Association of Fundraising Professionals organization.

The Chamberlain Scholarship is designed to help individuals serving nonprofit organizations develop their knowledge and skill in fundraising. The scholarship supports first-time attendance to the AFP International Conference - a place to gain insight from industry and world leaders, and a chance to learn breakthrough fundraising tactics.

The next AFP ICON will be held in Toronto, Canada, April 7-9, 2024 and includes more than 100 education sessions to choose from, inspiring keynote speakers, and will host thousands of fellow fundraisers to network with. You could be one!

PLEASE NOTE this ICON will be held in Canada which requires a passport.

Congratulations to Meena Tadimeti, CFRE, Special Needs in My City, who attended AFP ICON in New Orleans as Yosemite Chapter's Chamberlain Scholar for 2023.

Diversity Scholarship

The AFP Yosemite Chapter awards one Diversity Scholarship each quarter. The purpose of the Diversity Scholarship is to provide memberships for development officers in not-for-profit organizations in Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Amador, Calaveras, San Joaquin, and Merced Counties. Each scholarship will provide recipients with an Introductory AFP International membership and an AFP Yosemite Chapter membership.

Think you might not be part of a diverse group? Think again! Every person is unique and therefore diverse in their own right. Applications will be kept on file for reconsideration throughout the year.
