Founded in 1984, the AFP Brandywine Chapter strives to advance the profession of fundraising and the institution of philanthropy for the public good. We serve the communities of the Brandywine Valley, including Delaware, Southeastern Pennsylvania, Eastern Maryland, and Southwestern New Jersey.

Members include development professionals of all levels, executive directors, funders, and volunteers. Our members represent educational institutions, the arts, health and human services, and environmental agencies.

  • Youth in Philanthropy Award 2018

    The AFP Central Ontario Chapter has announced the creation of a new award to draw attention and celebrate the impact that young people (ages 15 to 25) are making in their communities through leadership and philanthropy. Deadline for nominations is September 15, and details about the award can be found on the link below.

    AFP DC is hosting our annual Sunset Social on June 20th for one of our best networking events of the year. It’s going to be held at a fabulous space in Georgetown at The Observatory, Graham Hotel, 1075 Thomas Jefferson St, NW Washington, DC. The event is from 6-8pm. Hope to see you there!

  • Step up and become a Certified Fund Raising Executive: Apply before July 15

    If you’ve been considering submitting a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) application, now is the time to put yours together! Submit your application by the July 15 deadline to get one step closer to becoming a CFRE. Once your application is approved, you’ll be eligible to sit for the CFRE exam.

  • AFP Saskatoon Chapter Bursary

    AFP Saskatoon Chapter offers Professional Development Bursaries as a means to enhance the professional development of fund development professionals in our area by helping offset the cost associated with attending AFP courses, including CFRE Refresher Course; Fundamentals of Fundraising Course; conferences, and workshops. Consideration will also be given to non-AFP sponsored events and conferences provided the applicant provides a rationale of the benefit to their professional development in fundraising. Preference will be given to AFP-Sponsored events and conferences.
