About the Facilitator
Dodie Ferguson
Dodie Ferguson is a proud daughter/wife/mother/grandmother in a multi-generational farming & ranching family from the Cowessess First Nation in Treaty 4 territory, and she is blessed to have her matriarchal line originate from the James Smith Cree Nation in Treaty 6 territory. As a former Postal Worker, she represented her union on the work floor, in human rights lobbying, as a facilitator & has proudly served on the Saskatchewan Federation of Labour and the Regina & District Labour Council Executive Committees. Dodie balances working for her nation as a member of the Research Team for the Marieval Indian Residential School & Cowessess Gravesite Project with her education consulting business. In her spare time, she is a facilitator for the Canadian Labour Congress - Labour College of Canada, is completing her Environmental Studies degree and she sits on the Cowessess First Nation Livelihood Committee, helping her nation revitalize its cultural connections across time, geography and generations.
