AFP Diversity Committee and Scholarship

The Piedmont Chapter of AFP is deeply committed to enriching diversity and inclusion through on-going, intentional efforts to cultivate a welcoming chapter environment for all members of the Upstate community. We strive to recognize each individual as an asset, nurture and promote accessibility, and provide an inclusive climate with respect and empathy for all. This committee plans to ensure this mission's success through the following goals: 

Goal #1: Develop a committee to deliver innovative IDEA programming

Goal #2: Diversify general membership and Board leadership

Goal #3: Establish a mentorship program to provide access to knowledge, situations, or networks and to better understand issues facing other people.

Partial membership scholarships are available to new members who help fulfill the chapter’s commitment to diversity and enhance the diversity its membership. For more information on the Diversity Scholarship, please contact AFP Piedmont Chapter’s Diversity Chair, Maddi Currier at CurrierM@uscupstate.edu.  Application deadlines are June 1 and October 1.
