Philanthropy Day

VIRTUAL AWARD CELEBRATION
This year, our annual NPD event will look a little different than our usual Awards Breakfast. We have decided to go virtual by announcing each award category winner with a special video announcement during the week of November 15 ~National Philanthropy Day!  Let’s end 2020 on a positive note and nominate our local heroes for their charitable work during these uncertain times

Who will you nominate in 2020?  We know you know someone good - the good do!
DEADLINE EXTENDED to 5pm Wednesday, September 16

National Philanthropy Day (NPD) celebrates the charitable work that EVERYONE does to make a difference and create impact in our community. Let's showcase outstanding donors, volunteers, corporations, foundations and others
who should be recognized for their commitment to change and philanthropy. Nominate someone good in the following categories.
Funds raised through NPD, our chapter’s main fundraising event each year, will provide local members the opportunity to have deeper and more meaningful professional development opportunities, such as support for professional certification and continuing education scholarships.

    What is National Philanthropy Day:

Philanthropy is “the love of humankind,” and National Philanthropy Day® (NPD)—November 15—is the day that thousands of people around the world come together to both (1) put that word into action and (2) recognize the change that word has brought to our communities.

NPD is a celebration of philanthropy—giving, volunteering and charitable engagement—that highlights the accomplishments, large and small, that philanthropy—and all those involved in the philanthropic process—makes to our society and our world.

National Philanthropy Day® is both an official day and a grassroots movement. Every year, since 1986 when President Ronald Reagan first proclaimed November 15th as National Philanthropy Day®, communities across the globe have celebrated by hosting events to recognize activities of donors, volunteers, foundations, leaders, corporations, and others engaged in philanthropy.
