About AFP Cape Fear Chapter


Welcome!

Our mission is to support and strengthen the nonprofit community by providing professional development opportunties for effective and ethical fundraising practices.

Goals: Build a professional fundraising network for the betterment of our community.

History: The Cape Fear Region Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals was established in 2007 to serve New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, Onslow, Bladen, Columbus, and Duplin Counties.

Announcements

  • Women's Impact Network Announces LOI Application

    WIN’s grant focus for 2018 is Education. Whether your non-profit takes a traditional or non-traditional
    approach to addressing educational concerns in our community, we encourage you to submit a letter of
    inquiry describing how your agency could make a positive impact with a one-time grant. This year WIN will offer two large grants of approximately $20,000 each and up to three small grants for a total of approximately $10,000.

    If you are interested, please send an email to win4nhc@gmail.com with Letter of Inquiry Request in the subject line to receive instructions to complete the LOI.

    Timelines of the WIN Grant Process: 
    • Letters of Inquiry will be due on July 6, 2018. 
    • Agencies requested to complete a full application will be notified on July 30, 2018.
    • Full applications will be due on August 17, 2018.
    • Winners of small and large grants will be announced on September 28, 2018.
  • Myths of Major Gifts

    ​Really excited to share our program in June with all of you wonderful members! Beth Crigler will join us from the Novant Health Foundation (thanks to AFP member, Cindy Cheatham) to talk about her experience in the world of major gift fundraising.

    See you Wednesday, June 13 at 8 AM. And remember, we are on USS North Carolina, better known as The Battleship!
