Senior Development Officer

Reporting to the Director of Faculty Development, the Senior Development Officer (SDO) is a strategic partner to the Dean of the Faculty of Health, VP Research and Innovation, and other health leaders across UVic. The SDO is responsible for creating the philanthropic fundraising strategy for UVic’s health theme and for advancing health-themed fundraising priorities through major and principal gift development, alumni engagement, and donor stewardship.  

The SDO works with, and is supported by, colleagues from across Alumni and Development, including other major gift fundraisers, Advancement Services, Alumni Relations, Principal Giving and centralized University Development teams.

Manager of Communications

Chemistry Consulting Group has been retained by David Foster Foundation (DFF) to lead the search for their next Executive Assistant to the CEO. DFF provides financial support to Canadian families with children in need of life-saving organ transplants. The Philanthropy Advisor plays a key role in advancing Our Place’s mission by managing two donor programs: Mid-level Giving and Monthly Giving. This role is focused on deepening relationships with donors who give $500 or more annually, ensuring they feel connected, appreciated, and inspired to continue their support. The Advisor also leads efforts to engage donors in planning future gifts, including bequests, helping them leave a lasting impact.

As an integral part of the fund development team, the Advisor will cultivate and steward donor relationships, conduct prospect research, oversee estate gifts, and develop compelling fundraising materials. Fund Development Officer

The Nanaimo Community Hospice is a registered non-profit society that supports an interdisciplinary team approach to the provision of compassionate care and support to the dying, their caregivers, and the bereaved of all ages in our community. All programs are free and contribute significantly to the health and strength of our community. Each year Hospice staff and volunteers provide direct support to over 1,700 individuals facing end of life issues in their homes, in hospital, in care facilities, and through programs offered at Hospice House. Hospice volunteers working with those facing end of life issues contribute over 28,000 hours annually.
