From planning to implementation, learn what it takes to execute Day of Giving and employee giving campaigns. Presenters from the University of Central Arkansas will share tips, tricks, and lessons learned from the UCA Day of Giving and employee campaigns. Participants are encouraged to bring giving day and employee campaign materials from their own organizations for an idea exchange and group discussion facilitated by the presenters.

About our Speakers:
Joan Shofner is in her eighth year as the Executive Director of Advancement Services at the University of Central Arkansas. She is Blackbaud Certified in Raiser’s Edge at the Professional level. She began a career in fundraising in 1998 when she was named the first Executive Director for the St. Joseph School Endowment in Conway. She has also served as Director of Development for Mount Saint Mary Academy, and Associate Director for Conway Regional Health Foundation. She joined AFP in 1998, served on the AFP-Arkansas Board of Directors for ten years, and as President in 2007.
Haley Fowler is in her twelfth year working in higher education at the University of Central Arkansas. She began her career at UCA as the Assistant Director of Student Organizations and University Events in the Division of Student Services. In 2007 she was hired in the Division of Advancement as the Assistant Director of Alumni Services where she won multiple Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) awards. In 2014 Haley moved to Development as the Director of Annual Giving and Stewardship and was recently named the Director of Development for Student Services focusing on major gifts.
