ABOUT NATIONAL PHILANTHROPY DAY

National Philanthropy Day™ (NPD) is a luncheon and awards ceremony which recognizes and pays tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy—and those people active in the philanthropic community—have made to our lives, our communities, and our world. AFP Shenandoah has celebrated NPD since 1991.

During the event, five different philanthropy awards may be given in the following categories:
Youth in Philanthropy; Corporate Philanthropist; Individual Philanthropist; Spirit of Philanthropy; and Sandra Neff Fundraising Executive.

We are excited to announce that nominations are now open for the
Shenandoah Chapter's 2026 National Philanthropy Day Awards!

This is your chance to honor the outstanding individuals, organizations, and community leaders who make a significant impact through philanthropy in our region.

Nomination Deadline: Thursday, August 27, 2026.
