Philanthropy Day

National Philanthropy Day
is a national event that is celebrated in hundreds of communities throughout the nation to recognize and honor the significant contributions that philanthropy has made to our lives, our communities, our nation, and our world.

On Thursday, November 15, 2018, the Texas Plains Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) will host the 26th annual celebration of National Philanthropy Day (NPD).  This luncheon celebrates philanthropy by honoring local benefactors.  National Philanthropy Day provides nonprofit organizations the unique opportunity to recognize the efforts of a variety of donors who make the charitable work they do every day possible.

The main activity during National Philanthropy Day is an award ceremony recognizing those who have contributed outstanding service in the field of philanthropy.  The categories are designed to recognize a range of philanthropists, from the donor who has made sizable gifts, to the volunteer fundraiser whose time and effort created charitable significance in the community.
