The AFPSBV Chapter was founded 34 years ago to promote philanthropy and support the practice of ethical and effective fundraising. We do this through education, networking, mentoring, advocacy, and recognition. The chapter is led by a board of directors featuring the counties’ top fundraising professionals and hosts a variety of educational trainings throughout the year. Click here for more information. Your partnership with AFPSBV supports our ability to highlight and celebrate philanthropy in our communities, provide best-in-class educational opportunities for fundraisers and nonprofit professionals, and offer scholarships for AFP membership, trainings, and educational conferences.
National Philanthropy Day (NPD) acknowledges the entire spectrum of services provided by the nonprofit community and recognizes the profound impact that philanthropy has on the fabric of society. Each year, we host this day to recognize the great contributions of philanthropy—and local champions who serve to enrich the community by serving as role models. The event will honor recipients from the following categories: Philanthropist of the year, Volunteer of the Year, Youth in Philanthropy, and Professional Fundraiser of the Year. This year, the AFPSBV leadership added two award categories: Champion for Social Justice and Exceptional Adaptability.
