Senior Director of Alumni, Parents, and Family Engagement.

Albright College is seeking applications for Senior Director of Alumni, Parents, and Family Engagement.
Develop and implement strategic relationship building, volunteer opportunities, programming, events,
and fundraising to foster Albright College pride and engagement for the College's 22,000+ alumni,
current students and current and former parents and family members.


Provide leadership for the Alumni Association Board of Directors, whose mission is to provide unique
experiences and benefits for the alumni population while enhancing the link between Alma Mater and
the individual. Create opportunities to celebrate and engage around affinity connections to the College,
such as the arts, Greek life, athletics, majors, clubs, and careers.


Recognizing the important relationship between parents and the College, develop and oversee a
strategy and plan which will provide programs and support to parents and family members of all
students, with a special focus on first generation. Additionally, this parent engagement will sponsor fund
raising from parents, in support of student academic success.


Provide support and guidance to the Lions Diplomats in their volunteer activities and in support of
alumni events throughout the year.


Collaborate with the Career Development Center and Center for Student Involvement to connect and
build relationships between alumni and students in meaningful ways. Collaborate with Enrollment
Management to engage alumni in connecting potential students with the college and encouraging
application.


Essential Job Functions:
1. Create and oversee implementation an alumni, parent and family engagement strategic plan
consistent with the mission of the college and the Alumni Association.
2. Create, oversee and provide leadership to provide meaningful pathways for parent and family
engagement programming to encourage student persistence to graduation.
3. Manage staff who provide day-to-day operations of alumni events, communications.
4. Provide leadership to the Albright College Alumni Association, the officers and members of the
Association Board, to ensure that they are a strong, supportive, and effective volunteer
organization. Provide leadership to the Black Alumni Committee.
5. Conceive and oversee execution of creative programming on and off campus, which increases the
number of alumni and donors who have formal and regular interaction with the College and its
people. This includes but is not limited to:
a. Regional Events/Key Geographic zones – In collaboration with the AVP for major and
planned gifts and the Director of Prospect Management and Research, develop and
promote programming in carefully selected cities throughout the United States to support
the mission of the college.
b. Homecoming Weekend– Oversee the planning and development of an exciting
Homecoming event in the fall, which serves by virtue of attendance as a major alumni event
in the annual calendar. Develop programming for parents and engage with Athletics, Career
Center and Center for Student Involvement to engage students with parents and alumni in
meaningful ways before and during the weekend.
c. Alumni Weekend – Plan and develop the campus-wide event held in the spring that includes
Academic Department events, affinity reunions, and the annual Alumni Awards Dinner.

d. Fifty Plus Club – Expand and enhance opportunities for the Fifty Plus club members to
gather, and to engage with the College and one another beyond the standard induction
event.
6. Prepare periodic reports, briefing materials, correspondence, and related documents for the Vice
President and the Alumni Executive Committee and Board as needed.
7. Develop new programs which meet alumni and donors “where they are” and involve greater
members of more diverse alumni in the life of the College. Additionally, incumbent will identify and
offer meaningful programs, volunteer opportunities, and services that advance the mutual interests
of the alumni and donor body and the College.
8. Maintain adequate records, statistics and data of alumni and donor involvement with the college.
9. Oversee an annual social media audit. Develop and implement an effective social and electronic
media policy that engages both students and alumni and creates networks to support life, job and
career success for alumni and students.
10. Ensure collaboration with development on reunion giving and programming.
11. Serve as chief communicator of alumni issues, perspective, and concerns to the College
12. Create opportunities to celebrate and engage around affinity connections to the College, such as the
arts, Greek life, athletics, majors, clubs, and careers.
13. Collaborate with the Communications staff to assure timely and accurate communication of news
and events to the alumni body and donor community.
14. Collaborate with various campus departments to enhance alumni engagement and expand alumni
and donor programming and build meaningful relationships between alumni, donors, and our
current students, faculty and staff.
15. Examine whether existing mission meets requirements of the Alumni & Donor Engagement unit.
16. Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Advancement.

3. EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
a. Five years of related experience required in development, annual giving, and alumni and donor
relations, preferably in a higher education environment.
4. EDUCATION
a. Bachelor’s degree required

a. Valid drivers’ license required

Compensation commensurate with experience. Expected Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000
