  • Negotiation Training with AAUW

    AFP has entered into a new partnership with the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and its Work Smart Online program to offer a free negotiation workshop to all members of AFP. The partnership launches May 8, 2019.

  • 2019 Ten Star Chapter Designation

    Thank you AFP International for the recent announcement that AFP Mahoning-Shenango Chapter has been recognized with the 2019 Ten Star Chapter designation.  We are proud to be one of a select group of chapters selected for this honor based on our efforts to increase professionalism within fundraising and public awareness of the importance of philanthropy.
  • 2019 Chamberlain Scholarship Recipient

    Congratulations Colleen Kellly, Director of Development for the Youngstown Business Incubator, Youngstown, Ohio, who has been selected as AFPMASH's 2019 Chamberlain Scholarship recipient.  She will be attending AFP ICON later this month in San Antonio, TX.

  • 2019 Diverse Communities Scholarship

    The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy is pleased to once again offer the Diverse Communities Scholarship program for members of diverse communities to attend the AFP International Fundraising Conference San Antonio, TX, March 31 - April 2, 2019.

    AFP is pleased to offer $1,500 scholarships ($799 conference registration fee + some travel expenses) for each of the currently identified AFP diverse communities. 

    AFP’s diverse communities include: African-American/Black, Asian, People with Disabilities, Faith-based, LGBTQ, Hispanic, Jewish, Rural, or another underrepresented community. 

    The application process will open September 1 – October 31, 2018.  Deadline for application submission is October 31, 2018. Selected candidates will be notified by email by December 1, 2018.

    This scholarship opportunity is open to members and nonmembers and we encourage you to distribute to the colleagues in your personal and professional networks.
