MFC 2025: The Evolving Landscape of Philanthropy

Presented by Global Philanthropic Canada

Philanthropy is changing—fast. At MFC 2025, we’re leaning into that change. From digital disruption and donor diversity to bold new strategies in fundraising and stewardship, this year’s conference will explore what it means to fundraise in a future-forward, community-rooted, and purpose-led world.

The conference is designed for professionals working across fundraising, philanthropy, and the social good sector who are ready to grow, connect, and lead in this evolving space.

We are seeking speakers who can deliver engaging, relevant, and practical sessions that fall within our 2025 theme: The Evolving Landscape of Philanthropy. Whether you're a seasoned speaker, first-time presenter, or somewhere in between, we want to hear from you. If you have a great story, innovative idea, lesson learned, or a challenge that turned into growth - we invite you to submit a proposal. Here are some of our session ideas:

  • Stewardship that Sticks- Personalizing the Donor Journey
  • The Art of Storytelling- Bringing Your Mission to Life
  • AI and Fundraising
  • Ways of Giving- How Technology is Shaping Donor Behaviour
  • Embedding IDEA in Fundraising- Cultivating Inclusive Donor Engagement

Land Acknowledgement:
We would like to acknowledge that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which Mi’kmaq Wəlastəkwiyik (Maliseet), and Passamaquoddy Peoples first signed with the British Crown in 1726. The treaties did not deal with surrender of lands and resources but in fact recognized Mi’kmaq and Wəlastəkwiyik (Maliseet) title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.
