AFP Chapter Meeting

When:  Sep 11, 2018 from 03:30 PM to 05:00 PM (CT)

Topic:  Know Thyself:  Exploring Asking Styles for Peak Performance

Personality plays a major role in our work as development professionals, and we don’t all need to be the same to be effective.  This interactive session will focus on the concepts in Andrea Kihlstedt’s book, Asking Styles:  Harness Your Personal Fundraising Power.   “The key to asking is knowing (and being) yourself!”  Learn your asking style, discuss practical tips for all four styles (Go-Getter, Mission Controller, Kindred Spirit, Rainmaker), better understand your own strengths and characteristics, and engage with fellow AFP members about how best to maximize your style in working with colleagues, board members, and donors.

Speaker: Jeanie Lovell, CFRE
