Those Awkward Fundraising Moments –
How to respond when you’re thinking, “Did I Really Just Hear That?"

We’ve all been in those situations: a meeting where the conversation seems to be going well when all of a sudden, a donor says something unexpected …racist, sexist, or even insulting to your organization or cause.  How do you develop mutually respectful relationships with donors after this happens?  Is it appropriate or ethical to accept gifts from someone whose values differ from those of your organization or with conditions that just don’t feel right?  Do you have policies to fall back on to back up your decisions?

Join us for a guided discussion exploring the principles on handling challenging conversations and situations and learn from fundraisers who have experienced dealing with specific issues to gain insight into how you can successfully navigate these awkward situations yourself.

If you have a question or situation you would like addressed at the session please include it with your registration prior to October 5, 2018.
