SPEAKER BIOS:

Elizabeth Fitzgibbons is a graphic designer in Louisville, KY. A lover of dioramas, artist Eva Hesse and human-centered design, she studied at California College of the Arts (formerly California College of Arts and Crafts) before diving head-long into making evocative work for creative agencies in San Francisco and Oakland. On return to her native Louisville, she combined her fervor for design and social sector progress in communications for nonprofit organizations. She currently creates print and web work for a broad collection of clients as a Senior Designer at Black & White Creative and lives with her family in Louisville’s Clifton neighborhood.

Julie Kruer is a development coordinator for the Norton Healthcare Foundation and Children’s Hospital Foundation in Louisville, Ky.  She earned her degree in communications from Purdue University. She worked for Cox Radio for two years in marketing and as webmaster for their four radio station websites. She then worked as the events manager at the Frazier Kentucky History Museum for nearly 10 years.  In addition to her love of all things events, Julie has a passion for marketing, web and graphic design.  While at Frazier, she created a website for the organization using Squarespace, Canva and PicMonkey. While not formally trained in web or graphic design, Julie loves finding and using online tools that give the appearance that she is.  Julie lives in Prospect with her husband and two daughters.
