Baylor Landrum, Jr. Leave a Legacy Award
The Baylor Landrum Jr. Leave a Legacy Award publicly recognizes the importance of planned gifts. The award is presented to either a charitable donor or a professional advisor exhibiting the impact planned gifts have to better our community in Louisville and Southern Indiana. The nominee also encourages others to make planned gifts to their favorite charities. In 2011, the Leave A Legacy Award was named in memory of Baylor Landrum Jr. in recognition of his wide impact on nonprofits in our community through many generous planned gifts.

Emerging Leader Award 
This award recognizes outstanding individual fundraising professional aged 25-40 (at the time of nomination) who works for a nonprofit or charitable organization and who practices his/her profession in an exemplary manner. The recipient has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the Greater Louisville / Southern Indiana community through professional fundraising, evidence of quality ef-leadership in creating change within their organization, being an active member of AFP, commitment to continuing professional development, and commitment to fundraising and philanthropy through volunteer service and financial support of non-profit organizations. The recipient's fundraising efforts and community leadership have motivated others to give and become involved in philanthropy. Eligibility and expectations: The nominee must be living at the time of nomination. The nominee must be between the age of 25 and 40 (at the time of nomination Member of AFP and a member in good standing with the AFP Greater Louisville Chapter. Is currently employed or affiliated with a nonprofit or charitable organization. Exemplifies outstanding professionalism in fundraising practice. Has not previously won the Emerging Leader in Philanthropy Award. The recipient is expected to be present to accept the award.


Frank W. Penick Founder’s Award
The Frank W. Penick Founder’s Award was created in 2000 as a tribute to Mr. Penick, a founding member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Louisville Chapter. A committee of fundraising peers chooses the recipient of this award, presented to an individual that has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to the advancement of the development profession. AFP members are invited to submit their nominations for the Frank W. Penick Founder’s Award.


Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser
This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in raising money and organizing groups of volunteers for major fundraising projects for more than one organization, all within the Greater Louisville / Southern Indiana region. This year, a winner will be selected in two different categories based off of the nominating non-profit's operating budget size: Small/Medium Non-Profit (under $15 million) & Large Non-Profit (over $15 million). 


Philanthropist of the Year – Individual
This award recognizes an individual with a proven record of exceptional generosity who, through direct financial support to charities in Greater Louisville / Southern Indiana, demonstrates outstanding civic and charitable responsibility, and whose generosity encourages others to take on philanthropic leadership roles on local, national, and international levels. This year, a winner will be selected in two different categories based off of the nominating non-profit's operating budget size: Small/Medium Non-Profit (under $15 million) & Large Non-Profit (over $15 million). 


Philanthropist of the Year – Organization
This award recognizes a business or grantmaking organization in the Greater Louisville / Southern Indiana community with a proven record of exceptional generosity who, through direct financial support, demonstrates outstanding civic and charitable responsibility to our community, and whose generosity encourages others to take on philanthropic leadership roles on local, national, and international levels. This year, a winner will be selected in two different categories based off of the nominating non-profit's operating budget size: Small/Medium Non-Profit (under $15 million) & Large Non-Profit (over $15 million).


Young Philanthropist of the Year
This award recognizes an individual or a group of individuals up to age 25 (at time of nomination) who demonstrate outstanding commitment to the Greater Louisville / Southern Indiana community through direct financial support, development of charitable programs, volunteering, and leadership in philanthropy.
