  Welcome to The AFP Michiana Website!

I am honored to serve as President of the AFP Michiana Volunteer Board for 2018. The Association of Fundraising Professionals is a wonderful community of non profit professionals, and I have greatly benefited from being an active member of this advocacy, educational, and social network of fundraisers. Our local chapter is in a period of positive growth, both in our membership and in the expansion of our programs. We are prioritizing our members and our local nonprofit community by providing you with programming that will be beneficial for the work you are currently doing. The Board understands that our professional network is made up of a diverse community of newcomers and seasoned professionals; individuals who are behind the scenes managing the database or front and center by making the asks. We have members who are a one-stop-shop and others who are managing a large team of development professionals. That is why we want to make sure we have programming that meets your professional and social needs, and are offered at the times that are most convenient for you.

Our local chapter has been in existence since 1998 and we are here to be a resource to you. Please reach out to me or any of our other dedicated board members. We want to know what programming you would like, and if you would like to get involved, we would love to have your help!

Finally, save the date for Thursday, August 16th when we will be hosting our first all day conference at the Century Center, in downtown South Bend. This will be a great opportunity to learn about the latest trends in our profession and to network with other professionals.
