National Philanthropy Day® Award Nominations are Now Open

Pensacola, Fla. – Founded in 1988, the Association of Fundraising Professionals West Florida Chapter is celebrating 30 years in Pensacola, with the mission of highlighting and recognizing the accomplishments of giving, volunteering and charitable engagement within our community.


The chapter has announced that nominations for the 2018 National Philanthropy Day® Awards Luncheon are now being accepted until Aug. 31. The winners will be announced during the annual awards luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 at the Pensacola Grand Hotel, 200 E. Gregory St.


During the event, AFP West Florida Chapter will honor and recognize businesses, nonprofit organizations and individuals who have made a significant impact in the community through philanthropic efforts. The 2017 winners include Ambersley Foundation, Baptist Health Care, Carol Carlan, Madrina Ciano, Harold E. Marcus, Pen Air Federal Credit Union and Sunday’s Child.
