NonProfit Network - Donor Demographics & Tax Law Changes in McLennan County

When:  Sep 20, 2018 from 08:00 AM to 10:00 AM (CT)
Associated with  AFP TX, Central Chapter

Join us September 20 as we discuss Donor Demographics and Tax Law Changes in McLennan County! At this month’s Nonprofit Network, we will welcome the following speakers:

  • Brittany Fitz-Chapman, PhD – Prosper Waco’s Director of Data and Research
  • Harry Harelik, CPA, CFRE – Nonprofit Consultant
  • Rebekah North, CPA – Executive Director of the Central Texas Chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs

Dr. Fitz-Chapman will present a series of new, interactive maps focused on donor demographics, which will soon be available on Prosper Waco’s website.

Harry Harelik and Rebekah North will then discuss the various ways nonprofits can use these maps when doing donor research, development, and solicitation of gifts. The presentation will help attendees better understand how they can strategically identify donors and match them with appropriate development strategies, thereby lessening initial development costs and saving staff time.

The presenters will also discuss the impact of the new tax law on donor conversations and how being aware of where the highest concentration of potential donors live may give nonprofits the highest chances of fundraising success.
