According to a 2017 study conducted by the Center for Rural Entrepreneurship, $8.4 billion is projected to transfer generations in Stanislaus County within the next 10 years.  Join Stanislaus Community Foundation CEO, Marian Kaanon, along with local fundraising professionals and professional advisors, to learn more about Transfer of Wealth and how local organizations are creating opportunity utilizing this vital data.

Marian Kaanon has been President and CEO of the Stanislaus Community Foundation since 2012, overseeing a period of growth from $12 million in assets to more than $30 million today.  In 2006, Kaanon was named by The Modesto Bee as one of “20 Under 40” young civic leaders to watch, and in 2015 was named an Outstanding Woman for Stanislaus County.  She is active in Modesto Rotary Club, a Senior Fellow with the American Leadership Forum/Great Valley Chapter and a graduate of the Irvine New Leadership Network.

Louis Friedman’s law practice emphasizes the areas of Estate Planning, Finance, Business Organization, Succession Planning and Asset Protection.  He has vast experience advising family owned and closely held companies and has spent decades working in this field as a CPA, attorney and senior officer of a family-owned business.  Some of his local positions have included the Gallo Center for the Arts, Modesto Rotary Club, Sylvan Unified School District and the Stanislaus Business Forum Steering Committee
