Join our panel of nonprofit leaders for lunch and learning!

AFP Silicon Valley and CEN are partnering to host a “Lunch and Learn” style panel discussion dedicated to helping emerging nonprofit professionals understand what it takes to successfully navigate a nonprofit career. We're excited to be featuring Michele Lew, CEO of The Health Trust; Anna Waring, Executive Director of Foundation for a College Education; Ryan Eisenberg, Executive Director of AchieveKids; and Lisa Putkey, Program Director at San Mateo County Pride Center. These exceptional leaders will share their diverse backgrounds and personal strategies to effect community change. Whether you are in the initial growth stage of your career, or have a more extensive background but are new to the nonprofit workforce, this session is just what you’ve been waiting for. The nonprofit sector is uniquely challenging and our panel of nonprofit executives will share strategies to develop new professional skills, expand your personal capacities, and acquire the tools, visibility, and network necessary to grow in your career. Seating will be affinity based, giving attendees the opportunity to easily network with other nonprofit professional in similar stages of their careers. This session is proudly co-presented by the Center for Excellence in Nonprofits and the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Silicon Valley Chapter.

Intended Audience

Emerging Nonprofit Professionals; defined as both young people that work at nonprofits and are in the initial growth stage of their careers and individuals who have meaningful professional and personal experience and are new to the nonprofit workforce.
