Are you ever faced with a fundraising conundrum? An insurmountable challenge that appears to have no solution? Fear not, because your colleagues have been there before, and now you can ask them about it—in person? Get perspective on topics such as:

Kathryn B. Knox, ACFRE has more than 25 years of experience as a fundraiser. She is the retired Director of Development for The Independence School and has served as an AFP presenter and consultant on capital campaigns. Kathryn is a past president of the AFP Brandywine Chapter, received the Chapter’s Fund Raising Executive of the Year, and has served on a variety of committees for AFP International.  She is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Institute at the Indiana University School of Philanthropy and the National Planned Giving Institute at the College of William and Mary.

Donna Melton founded Just in Time! Communications in 2009 to give a bigger voice to those making the world a better place. Her lifelong fascination with what makes organizations tick combined with decades of nonprofit communication and fundraising experience informs her ability to help nonprofits find their unique voice. Donna served as president of AFP Brandywine Chapter from 1990-92. She was named Outstanding Fundraising Executive in 1993. A passionate cook and photographer, Donna also loves making music with husband Dennis and son Michael.

Joan W. Priest, CFRE has more than 25 years of experience in fund development. After retiring as Associate Director of Development and Capital Campaign Coordinator for the Delaware Nature Society (DNS), she served as Director of Development for the Joseph Priestley District of the Unitarian Universalist Association and was a founding board member of the Coalition to Dismantle the New Jim Crow.  She currently serves as Senior Consultant for MMS Advancement Associates LLC, Allentown, Pa. and has helped environmental organizations nationwide to conduct successful capital campaigns.

Sonia Schorr Sloan, MS is a past president of AFP Brandywine Chapter and served on the founding boards of Public Allies, the American Civil Liberties Union, the Agenda for Delaware Women, and the Delaware Financial Literacy Institute. Sonia received AFP Brandywine Chapter’s Outstanding Fund Raising Executive Award in 1990 and the Lifetime Achievement in Philanthropy Award in 2011. She was the Financial Development Director for the YWCA of Delaware and served as its interim Executive Director. From 1999-2011, Sonia operated Sloan Fund Raising and Management Counsel.

Cam Yorkston is the Founder and President of Yorkston Consulting and has 43 years of experience as an institutional advancement officer and nonprofit management consultant. During this time, he has assisted in excess of 100 organizations with their fundraising, volunteer recruitment/training, communications, governance, and strategic planning programs. Cam served as the founding president of the AFP Brandywine Chapter and received the Fundraising Executive of the Year award in 1986. He is a graduate of The Tatnall School, The University of Delaware and Princeton Theological Seminary.
