Join guest speaker and co-founder of The Equality Fund, Jessica Houssian, for an intimate and dynamic session exploring how Canada’s first and historic $300 million equality fund came to life and the opportunities that are arising through this innovative approach to philanthropy.
This session includes a buffet lunch, interactive discussion and the opportunity to ask Jessica your most burning questions about how innovative and collaborative philanthropy can build the world you believe is possible. About Jessica Houssian
Born in Vancouver and based in New York, Jessica Houssian fell in love with feminism as a little girl and has focused her career on advancing women’s equality ever since. With a B.A. in Women & Gender Studies (Bates College) and an M.Sc. in Fundraising & Grantmaking (New York University), Jessica loves living and working at the intersection of women and philanthropy – and is inspired by the power it has to transform the world. Jessica is currently a Senior Advisor for Women Moving Millions, a global community of women philanthropists who invest boldly with a gender lens. Prior to her work with WMM, Jessica was a partner at Inspired Philanthropy Group – a boutique consulting firm supporting individual philanthropists and corporations to help create authentic, effective impact. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Landesa, RefugePoint and The Houssian Foundation. This year, Jessica also Co-Founded The Equality Fund, a $300million, government supported fund that brings together a collaborative of partners with a feminist agenda to build an innovative solution to fund the fight for gender equality around the world.
