Bio

A native of Jonesboro, Ark., and a graduate of Arkansas State University (Communications), she found her niche in fundraising at Open Avenues, a nonprofit organization serving individuals with disabilities in Rogers, Ark. During her career with the organization, she established the Open Avenues Foundation, led a successful $6.5 million dollar capital campaign, organized special events, created direct mail campaigns and oversaw all print, TV, radio, social media and marketing campaigns.

As time went on, Allison became recognized for her skills as a public speaker, as a trainer, and as the "go-to" mentor and cheerleader for fellow members of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Northwest Arkansas Chapter. She is a founding member of the AFP chapter, and served as the president in 2007.

Allison is a busy wife and mom. She and husband Duane have two active boys, Cooper and Barret.

In November of 2015, after almost 21 years as foundation director, Allison decided it was time to help others answer the tough, specific questions facing all nonprofit leaders.
