JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Marketing and Philanthropy will lead the marketing, fundraising, donor engagement, and storytelling efforts for our organization. This dynamic leader will create and implement marketing strategies that will introduce new products to the market and increase awareness of current services. In partnership with the Executive Director (ED), Board and Volunteers, he/she sustains existing funding and increases philanthropic support to the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

  • Work with executive leadership in the development of strategic planning efforts, short and long range goals.
  • Demonstrated leadership in creating, implementing and evaluating a multi-year marketing and communications plan to include (brand identity collateral, brochures, fact sheets, TV, radio, website content, printed materials, social media and e-communication platforms).
  • Knowledge in the latest in digital and social media technology and channels and how to best leverage for marketing programs as part of an overall business strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, and other key staff and volunteer leaders in developing and implementing the fundraising plan. Grow opportunities for planned giving, major gifts, corporate and foundation grants, and annual giving programs.
  • Responsible for conception and execution of special events that promote awareness and funding support of MCC special projects.
  • Work with leadership to develop funding priorities.
  • Oversee fundraising database and tracking systems.
  • Maintain annual development and marketing budget.
  • Oversee campus event calendar.
  • Represents Masonic Care Community at community events, fraternal and civic organizations. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Proficiency with social media and basic graphic design
  • Previous experience with grant writing preferred
  • Detail orientated, with strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Minimum of 5 years of increasing responsibility in a non-profit setting
  • Personable, outgoing, energetic, creative and welcoming
  • Able to manage and honor confidential information
  • Able to balance multiple priorities in a complex environment 
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or other related field.
